Latest Farr 40 Reports

In three days, 13 Farr 40 entries will converge on Key West Race Week for another week of exciting "winter racing" in tropical, South Florida conditions. On Thursday evening, January 21st, the Class will host a party for all Farr 40 teams participating in KWRW.

Key West Race Week, and the Miami Grand Prix later in March, will ensure that the Farr 40 crews prepare, and then peak, in time for the April World Championship at the Dominican Republic's Casa de Campo. World Champions Jim Richardson (Barking Mad - 2009, 2004, 1998) and Massimo Mezzaroma (Nerone - 2003) are bound for Key West. The Farr 40 One Design

The FARR ® 40 One Design was conceived as a high performance 40 footer that would gather the benefits of modern materials into an economic platform for short course racing that was demanding, exciting and not beyond the capabilities of relatively inexperienced and mature crew members. -- Farr Yacht Design

The class has held International Sailing Federation recognised class status since 1997.

The Rolex Farr 40 World Championships is the pinnacle event of the calendar. Featuring the highest level of competition with the Olympic, America's Cup and Volvo Ocean Race Veterans amongst this strictly Owner/Driver Class.
