The 2016-17 World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations were recently released and are available here. The Farr 40 class sails under Category 4 and the changes there are very minor. Please see the following document for our updated inspection sheet. Noticeable changes include the removal of red hand held flare requirements and the addition of a cockpit knife.

We will be implementing a new web-based payment system for class dues and other payments very soon. The new system will be very easy and very secure and we look forward to introducing it. If you wish to pay dues now, please feel free to use the form located here, we will be sure to let you know when the new system is released.

Please remember to register for the upcoming Rolex Farr 40 Worlds by following this link, and thank you to the teams that have already registered. The more teams that register early and fill up the entry list the easier it is for us to attract more teams and sponsors to put on a higher quality event. Additionally there will be a late fee assessed after the 25th, so please make sure to get your entry in early.

The Farr 40 One Design

The FARR ® 40 One Design was conceived as a high performance 40 footer that would gather the benefits of modern materials into an economic platform for short course racing that was demanding, exciting and not beyond the capabilities of relatively inexperienced and mature crew members. -- Farr Yacht Design

The class has held International Sailing Federation recognised class status since 1997.

The Rolex Farr 40 World Championships is the pinnacle event of the calendar. Featuring the highest level of competition with the Olympic, America's Cup and Volvo Ocean Race Veterans amongst this strictly Owner/Driver Class.
