Nerone wins on Tiebreaker

Having won the past two Farr 40 Match Race Invitational Events, Nerone entered the event as the top ranked boat, giving them the last bye in each round robin.  They sailed home thinking Barking Mad would be the winner.  A bad spinnaker douse by Barking Mad at the last windward mark of their final race cost them them the race and the event.  Since Nerone bested Barking Mad in the final round robin, they won the tie breaker and the title.

In an effort to further hone their boat handling and teamwork skills, five teams have traveled to Miami for two days of Match Racing in advance of Acura Miami Race Week.   Racing were: Massimo Mezzaroma and Antonio Sodo Migliori's Nerone, Jim Richardson's Barking Mad, Giovanni Maspero's Joe Fly, Helmut Jahn's Flash Gordon VI, and George and Stratis Andreadis' Atalanti.
