To all Farr 40 owners, Rolex Geneva and Yacht Club Capri:

We received confirmation that the ship bound for Olbia departed Ft. Lauderdale yesterday and is now expected to arrive in Olbia on 23 May.

Based on this delay which was beyond the Class’ control, Wolfgang Schaefer and I were forced to formally advise the Yacht Club Capri and our great sponsor Rolex, that regretfully the Farr 40's will be unable to participate in Rolex Capri Sailing Week 2008. We apologized to the Yacht Club Capri, believing it was better to acknowledge the problem than to pretend it does not exist.

On a more positive note, with the Rolex F40 World Championships being held at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in late June 2009, I believe we can expect a record turnout in Capri if invited to participate next year.
