Day Two - Goombay Smash wins races 5 and 7 to take Boat of the Day Honors

After holding the fleet onshore until 1030 this morning, PRO Peter Reggio managed to get three races in today in breezy conditions.  The fleet saw steady breezes at 20+ knots out of the Northeast with gusts to 28+ and choppy seas.

Doug Douglass' Goombay Smash won races five and seven to take boat of the day honors and now leads the Championship with 15 points overall.  In second place is Massimo Mezzaroma's Nerone with 19 points followed by Jim Richardson's Barking Mad with 20 points. There are two races left in the series, so with a Rolex timepiece and bragging rights at stake, these two former world champions are sure to have Douglass in their sights when racing resumes tomorrow.
